Our Solar System is made up everything that orbits the Sun, including eight planets, 5 dwarf planets, more than 150 moons, and millions of comets, asteroid and meteoroids, as well as dust and gas. It was formed about 4.5 billion years ago when a cloud of interstellar gas and dust collapsed forming a solar nebula and eventually our Sun. The planets in our solar system are called Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
